Somerset McDonald’s Ranked Among England’s Best Based on Google Reviews

A McDonald’s location in Somerset has earned recognition as one of the best in England, according to fresh research analyzing Google reviews across the country’s McDonald’s restaurants. The study evaluated each location by examining the proportion of five-star versus one-star reviews to determine the nation’s favorite outlets.

The Wincanton branch in Somerset stands out as the second-best McDonald’s in England, with an impressive 50.55% of its reviews rating it five stars, while only 9.81% gave it a one-star rating. This location, situated on Lawrence Hill, boasts an overall Google rating of 4.1 stars.

Marc Porcar, CEO of Remove Background—the company behind the research—commented on the findings: “While top-rated McDonald’s branches are distributed across England, there is a slight concentration in the south. Notably, Norwich in Norfolk emerges as a hotspot with two locations ranking in the top ten.”

Porcar also noted that despite uniform menus across all McDonald’s outlets, customer satisfaction varies significantly. He attributed these differences to factors such as cleanliness, service speed, and the friendliness of staff. “If you’re near any of the highest-rated branches or planning to travel through, it’s definitely worth a visit to experience some of the nation’s favorite McDonald’s,” he added.

On the other hand, some locations are struggling with customer ratings. Chingford, Greater London, for example, recorded the lowest-rated McDonald’s, with 36.49% of reviewers rating it one star and only 24.07% giving five stars. This outlet holds an overall Google rating of 2.8 stars.
