A recent study has uncovered the best-rated McDonald’s branches across the UK, highlighting Cornwall Services as the top-rated with the highest proportion of five-star Google reviews. Meanwhile, Somerset proudly features among the nation’s best, showcasing the variability in customer satisfaction across different locations.
The research, conducted by QR Code Generator, analyzed both five-star and one-star Google reviews for every McDonald’s outlet in the UK. Cornwall Services, located in St Austell, emerged as the leading branch, with an impressive 52.42% of its reviews rated five stars and only 6.18% at one star, achieving an overall rating of 4.1 out of 5. This beachside location serves as a popular stop for holidaymakers traveling the south-west coast.
Close behind is Omagh in Northern Ireland, securing second place with 52.26% five-star reviews and a 4.1 rating, followed by Coleraine in County Londonderry and Sprucefield in Lisburn, both Northern Ireland locations also boasting high ratings. Somerset’s Wincanton branch ranks fifth, receiving 51.55% five-star reviews and maintaining a strong 4.1 Google rating.

Northern Ireland claims three of the top five spots, underscoring the region’s standout performance in customer satisfaction within McDonald’s outlets. Conversely, the Chingford branch was identified as the lowest-rated McDonald’s in the UK, with only 24.07% of five-star reviews and a significantly high 36.49% of one-star feedback, culminating in a 2.8 rating.
Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator, noted from a related YouGov survey that McDonald’s remains one of the UK’s top dining brands, especially popular among millennials who value affordable and convenient meals. However, this latest review data highlights that not all branches deliver the same experience, making it worthwhile for customers and travelers to choose locations wisely.
