Somerset Man Sentenced for Stalking and Harassment

A Somerset man, Brandon Allen, has been sentenced after repeatedly stalking and harassing his former partner, causing her significant distress. The 24-year-old made persistent phone calls—sometimes up to ten times in a row—without receiving answers, and threatened to visit her home if she did not respond.

Magistrates in Bath learned that Allen’s harassment began following the end of their romantic relationship. Prosecutor Jenna Morgan explained that the victim noticed Allen’s jealousy escalating over four months, prompting her to end the relationship.

In October 2024, Allen reportedly arrived at the victim’s home while her daughter was present. Observing that he appeared intoxicated, the victim felt intimidated, scared, and anxious as Allen attempted to approach her. Following this incident, she blocked him on all social media platforms.

Despite the blocks, Allen continued to call her persistently, warning he would come to her house if ignored. On another late-night occasion in October, he showed up at her address, banging on the door and questioning why he had been blocked. When he saw her new partner, he confronted him, then left the scene.

The victim, deeply affected by these incidents, sought a restraining order against Allen. The defense did not contest this request. Allen, from Jubilee Road in Westfield, was sentenced to an 18-month community order that includes 80 hours of unpaid work and nine months of mental health treatment, while the victim was granted the restraining order.
