After more than two decades of dedicated service, Bryants Jewellers in Clevedon is set to close its doors, marking the end of a cherished local business. Owners Simon and Michelle Bryant have announced the closure, which comes after 22 years of running the store and nearly 30 years in total for the family business.
The decision to close is driven by personal reasons, including Simon’s recent diagnosis of an eye condition and the expiration of their shop lease. Reflecting on their journey, Simon shared, “This hasn’t been an easy decision. We’ve cherished serving our community and are grateful to our loyal customers who have supported us through the years. It’s time for us to prioritize quality of life and start a new chapter.”
To bid farewell, Bryants Jewellers will launch a closing-down sale on Saturday, 8 November 2025, offering a generous 50% discount across their entire range. This includes all jewellery—from branded and designer collections to statement pieces—and watches. The sale will operate on a first-come, first-served basis until stock runs out.

Simon’s connection to the jewellery trade spans 44 years, beginning at a young age in Portishead, and Michelle has been a vital part of the business since 1999. Their family roots in local retail run deep, with Simon’s mother having operated a sports and toy store on Portishead’s High Street in the late 1970s.
Bryants Jewellers’ Clevedon store, located at The Triangle, is open Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. Their second shop in Portishead closed in September.
As they prepare to close, Simon and Michelle hope to remind the community of their gratitude and offer one last opportunity to benefit from their quality jewellery and watches at exceptional prices.
