Somerset Hotel and Restaurant Osip Named Best for Foodies in the UK by Sunday Times

Osip, a renowned restaurant and hotel in Bruton, Somerset, has been honored as the Foodie Hotel of the Year by The Sunday Times in their Best Places to Stay list released on March 9.

Awarded a Michelin star in 2021, Osip offers four boutique rooms above the restaurant, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the rural charm and exceptional culinary experience of Somerset. Known for its strong farm-to-table ethos, the restaurant proudly sources much of its produce from the team’s own farm, ensuring freshness and sustainability.

The Sunday Times described Osip as a venue that “put the Somerset town of Bruton on the culinary map,” highlighting the creative vision of chef and owner Merlin Labron-Johnson. His imaginative and thoughtful cooking reinvents a traditional 17th-century coaching inn into what the paper calls a “minimalist temple to ethical gastronomy.”
