Bob: Passed away peacefully on Thursday 10th September 2026 aged 73 after a long battle with cancer. He was a dearly loved brother to Jim and brother-in-law to Maureen, and will be deeply missed by his nieces, family, and friends. The funeral service will take place at the Valley Chapel, Haycombe on Friday 2nd October at 1:00pm. Family flowers only; casual dress. Refreshments will be provided at ‘Charlies’, Twerton Park from 1:45pm. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Cancer Research UK either online or at the service. Ellie Williams: Passed peacefully with Teresa and Rhianna by her side. A much-loved Special Mum, Mother-in-law, Nan, Great Nan, and friend, Ellie brought warmth, kindness, and love to everyone who knew her. Her smile and infectious laughter will never be forgotten. The funeral service is at Sedgemoor Crematorium, Bridgwater, on 22nd September at 1:30pm, followed by a celebration of life at Dunston House Inn, Burnham on Sea. Family flowers only; donations welcomed for Secret World Wildlife Rescue.
Passed at Catherine House Nursing Home, Frome, aged 74. Funeral service at West Wiltshire Crematorium, Semington, on Monday 12th October at 2:30pm. Family flowers only; donations for Dementia UK accepted.
John: Aged 92, passed away on 13th September. Beloved husband of Julie, father to Steve, Karen, Mike, and Jackie, and a dearly missed grandparent. A celebration of John’s life will be held at Weston Super Mare Crematorium on Thursday 8th October at 1:30pm. Family flowers only; donations welcomed for RSPCA North Somerset Branch.
A devoted minister originally from Bath, who served faithfully in multiple churches across England, passed away on 10th August 2026 aged 65. Known for his love, pastoral care, and clear gospel preaching, he will be greatly missed by his wife Veronica, family, friends, and Christian community. His funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday 29th September at Hilltop Chapel, Haycombe, Bath.
JC (of Yeovil): Actor, dancer, and singer, passed away peacefully on 12th September aged 94. Funeral service at Yeovil Crematorium on Tuesday 6th October at 12 noon. No flowers; donations in memory to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Aged 95, passed away peacefully on 11th September. Much loved wife of John. Funeral at The Valley Chapel, Haycombe Crematorium, Bath on Wednesday 30th September at 12 noon. Flowers welcome.
Passed peacefully at home on 11th September aged 87. Beloved wife to the late Bill, mother to Caron and the late Colin. Funeral will be held at St Peters Church Bushley on Saturday 3rd October at 10:00am, followed by a private cremation. Flowers welcome; donations for The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem accepted.
Bob: Passed peacefully at home on 10th September aged 86. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Funeral service at Haycombe Hill Top Chapel on Thursday 8th October at 12:15pm, followed by a private committal at Valley Chapel. Family flowers only.
Of Ditcheat: Passed peacefully at Yeovil District Hospital on 3rd September aged 73. Funeral service at St. Joseph and Teresa’s Catholic Church, Wells on Thursday 1st October at 11:30am, followed by interment at Wells Cemetery. Family flowers only; donations for the R.N.L.I accepted.
Avril: Passed peacefully on 25th August. A loving mother and grandmother, her service will be held at St Leonard’s Church, Marston Bigot on Thursday 24th September at 12 noon. Donations for St Leonard’s Church welcomed.
Of Mildura, Australia, formerly of Batheaston, Bath: Passed peacefully aged 88 after a short illness. Much loved husband, father, and grandfather, he will be sadly missed in both Australia and the UK.
Of East Pennard: Passed peacefully at home on Sunday 13th September aged 78. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Funeral at All Saints Church, East Pennard on Friday 23rd October at 12 noon, followed by interment. Family flowers only; donations for Yeovil Hospital Charity encouraged.
Passed peacefully on 14th September aged 71. A much loved son, brother, father, and grandfather. Funeral at Yeovil Crematorium on Wednesday 30th September at 12:40pm. Family flowers only; donations for The Somerset Wildlife Trust appreciated.
