Mike (of Crewkerne) peacefully passed away at home on Monday 7th September 2026, aged 81. He was a dear husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His funeral service will be held at Yeovil Crematorium on Thursday 24th September 2026 at 12:00pm. Family flowers only; donations in Mike’s memory to St Margaret’s Hospice Yeovil may be sent via A J Wakely & Sons Funeral Directors, Crewkerne, or made online.
A dear gentleman from Nunney, who passed away suddenly on 7th September 2026 aged 86, was a cherished father and grandfather greatly missed by all who knew him. His funeral service will take place at Mendip Crematorium, Croscombe, on Thursday 1st October at 11:30am. Family flowers only; donations to Bath Cats and Dogs Home are welcomed.
Paddy passed away peacefully at Torrwood Nursing Home, Wells, on Wednesday 9th September 2026 aged 97. Beloved wife of Bertie, she will be dearly missed by family and friends. Her funeral is scheduled for Monday 5th October at Mendip Crematorium at 11:30am. Attendees are invited to wear colourful clothing. No flowers by request; donations in her memory to the Royal Commonwealth Society for the Blind (Sight Savers) can be made online or through Forsey and Son Funeral Directors.
Peter, who passed peacefully on 9th September 2026 aged 91, was much loved by his family and friends. A private service will be held in his honour. Donations in memory of Peter may be made to Weston Hospice and Alzheimer’s Research UK through C V Gower Funeral Directors, Winscombe.
A lady from Compton Dando passed away on 2nd September 2026 aged 81. She was the loving wife of Chris and will be sadly missed by family and friends. A celebration of her life will take place at St Mary’s Church, Compton Dando, on Friday 25th September at 1pm. Family flowers only; donations in her memory to Parkinson’s UK can be sent via Bryan G Bishop Funeral Service, Paulton.
Carole, who passed peacefully on 10th September 2026 aged 68, reunited with her beloved husband Norman. A devoted daughter, sister, and much loved by her family. Her life will be celebrated at Sedgemoor Crematorium on Friday 9th October at 11:30am. Family flowers only; donations for Bristol & Weston Hospital Charities are welcomed.
Richard, who passed at home on 6th September 2026 aged 83, was a much loved husband, brother, father, and grandfather. A brilliant mind now at rest, he will be forever remembered. His funeral service will be at North Wiltshire Crematorium on 6th October at 2:30pm. Family flowers only; donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Bee Society and The Royal Veterinary College Alumni Fund.
Avril passed peacefully on 25th August 2026. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed. Her service will be held at St Leonard’s Church, Marston Bigot, on Thursday 24th September at 12 noon. Donations in her memory for the church are welcomed.
Doug, who passed away on 27th August 2026 aged 85 at Woodside Nursing Home, was a former Bath and First Bus driver for over 30 years. He will be greatly missed by his niece Clare and all his family and friends. His funeral service will be held at The Valley Chapel, Bath, on Tuesday 22nd September at 11am.
Surgeon Captain (D) RD.RNR. BA (HONS) BDS, FDS, RCS, passed away peacefully at home on 22nd August 2026 aged 92. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he will be deeply missed. His funeral service will be at St Andrew’s Church, Mells, Somerset, on Monday 28th September at 2:00pm. Family flowers only; donations in his memory to CHASE Africa are welcome.
