This week, heartfelt tributes have honoured 31 cherished individuals from Somerset, reflecting the deep bonds shared within this close-knit community. Whether family members, friends, or those tragically taken too soon, each tribute offers solace and remembrance.
Between August 9 and August 15, 30 death notices were published across SomersetLive’s affiliated print titles, recognising the lives of those who lived in or had meaningful connections to Somerset. Additionally, an in memoriam message remembered a loved one no longer with us.
Publicly announcing the passing of a loved one through local media is a longstanding tradition, and we are honoured to be entrusted with these important announcements. Each notice appears not only in our publications but also on funeral-notices.co.uk, the UK’s leading platform for death notices and memorials.

These notices remain accessible online indefinitely, providing families and friends with a lasting tribute—a secure space to share memories, post photographs, leave messages of condolence, and make charitable donations in memory.
Every week, we highlight those remembered in our region with funeral notices and dedicated online tribute pages. Individuals can add tributes, view the latest announcements, or create a funeral notice by contacting our team or visiting funeral-notices.co.uk.
