Somerset County Cricket Club has announced the signing of its largest single commercial deal in its 150-year history by extending its long-term partnership with financial services firm Cooper Associates Group through the 2030 season.
The Taunton-based company will continue as the club’s Ground Naming Rights Partner, building on a decade of successful collaboration that began in 2016. This renewed partnership coincides with one of Somerset’s most triumphant periods, highlighted by victories in the 2019 Royal London One Day Cup and the Vitality Blast titles in 2023 and 2025.
Jamie Cox, Chief Executive of Somerset County Cricket Club, commented on the agreement, emphasizing its foundation in “a shared belief in long-term growth, excellence, and innovation.” He noted that Cooper Associates’ support has been crucial not only on the pitch but also in advancing the club’s broader ambitions.

“This partnership transcends naming rights; it is rooted in shared values, mutual trust, and a deep commitment to our community,” Cox added. “Together, we’ve cultivated the Cooper Associates County Ground into one of the country’s most respected venues.”
Over the past decade, the ground has hosted a wealth of high-profile events, including three ICC Men’s World Cup matches, multiple Women’s international fixtures, and a major concert by Lionel Richie, cementing its reputation as a versatile and premier venue.
Megan Barton, Marketing Director at Cooper Associates Group, expressed pride in the 10-year partnership and excitement about its extension. She highlighted the shared values and mutual ambition that have driven the collaboration and referenced the company’s wider support of prominent cricketers such as Tom Banton, Jack Leach, and brothers Thomas and James Rew.
“Our partnership goes beyond sponsorship,” Barton said. “It embodies a mutual commitment to ambition, integrity, and the unifying power of sport. As both organisations evolve, this shared foundation continues to grow stronger.”
