Brian, aged 91, passed away at the Royal United Hospital on 25th August 2026. He was the devoted husband of Mary, and beloved father to Sharon and Carol. Brian was a treasured grandfather to Daniel, Ryan, Ben, Lewis and Katie, and a great-grandfather to twelve grandchildren. His funeral service is scheduled for Thursday 24th September 2026 at 2pm at the Valley Chapel, Haycombe Crematorium.
A resident of Crewkerne, who died peacefully in Musgrove Park Hospital on 28th August aged 82, will be remembered dearly by family and friends. The funeral service will be held on Monday 21st September 2026 at 2.40pm at Yeovil Crematorium. Family flowers only have been requested, with donations kindly invited for British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

Peg O’Connor, aged 91, passed peacefully at home on 3rd September 2026 surrounded by her daughters. She was the loving wife of the late Don, mother to Gerard, Josephine and Dawn, and remembered with affection as grandmother and great-grandmother. Peg’s funeral service will take place at St Catharine’s Catholic Church in Frome on Friday 2nd October at 11am, followed by interment at Easthill Cemetery.
Dave, a much-loved husband, godfather, brother, and friend from Cheddar, passed away surrounded by family on 3rd September, aged 77. His thanksgiving service is set for Wednesday 7th October at Sedgemoor Crematorium at 11.30am.
Other notable losses include Jim, a former Bath GP, who died peacefully at 96, with funeral to be held at Holy Trinity Church, Bradford on Avon; and numerous others whose lives had a profound impact on their families and communities across Somerset.
