Somerset fast bowler JT Langridge will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Gloucestershire.
The 20-year-old is set to move along the M5 to Nevil Road, making his debut for Gloucestershire in their upcoming Rothesay County Championship match against Durham later this week.
Although Langridge has not yet made his first-class debut, he has appeared 11 times in the Metro Bank One Day Cup since debuting in 2023. He has taken 11 wickets at an average of 43.23, including a career-best performance of 3-63 achieved against Gloucestershire earlier this summer.

A tall, left-arm seamer, Langridge’s loan move suggests that Somerset’s Jake Ball and Lewis Gregory, who were injured in last week’s victory over Essex, have recovered and are expected to be fit for the upcoming match at Sussex.
Somerset’s Director of Cricket, Andy Hurry, commented: “This is a great opportunity for JT to gain experience in First XI red-ball cricket. He has performed well for the club in the Second XI County Championship this season, and this chance will support his progression within the First Class game.
“With limited First XI opportunities at Somerset currently, this loan arrangement benefits all parties involved. We look forward to welcoming him back to the Cooper Associates County Ground.”
