Somerset Animal Sanctuary has issued an urgent appeal for help after their feed room has fallen into a state of disrepair. The neglected space, once essential for storing animal feed, is now vulnerable to pests, posing a significant risk to the health and well-being of the animals in their care.
The sanctuary relies heavily on this feed room to store food safely and maintain its quality. However, due to prolonged exposure to harsh weather and lack of maintenance, the room has started to rot, resulting in cracks and gaps that provide easy access for rodents and insects.
“This situation is critical,” said a spokesperson for the sanctuary. “If we cannot secure and repair the feed room promptly, the animals’ food supply could become contaminated, leading to serious health issues. We urgently need support to address this problem before it worsens.”

The sanctuary is calling on the local community and supporters to assist in fundraising efforts or offer volunteer help to restore the feed room to a safe condition. By taking swift action, they aim to protect their animals from potential harm and ensure the sanctuary continues to provide a safe haven for all its residents.
