Webb & Company Accountancy, located at 1 New Street in Wells, Somerset, proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary last week. The milestone event brought together friends, clients, and local businesses for a lively gathering that honored the firm’s five decades of service.
Founded by Mike Webb, the company has thrived under the leadership of his son Giles Webb and business partner Barry Davidson for the past 15 years. Today, Webb & Company employs 25 dedicated staff members, marking significant growth since its early days.
To commemorate the anniversary, the firm hosted a drop-in drinks reception in the garden room of The Swan Hotel, Wells. The invitation-only event attracted a broad mix of guests, including long-standing clients, local solicitors, and financial advisers.

Giles Webb shared his reflections on the celebration: “It was a wonderful occasion—an informal gathering where staff and clients mingled and enjoyed each other’s company. The weather was perfect, and there was plenty of conversation about client relationships that have spanned many years.”
