Some Somerset Beaches and Spots Warned Against Swimming

Somerset has identified six beach areas where swimmers are warned against taking a dip, including popular destinations such as Weston-super-Mare’s main beach and Dunster Beach. The Environment Agency found poor water quality in 18 sites across England, leading to their advisory against bathing. While efforts are being made to monitor and improve water quality, certain areas still pose risks to swimmers due to factors such as changing water conditions and river influences. It’s crucial for beachgoers to stay informed about potential hazards before enjoying the coastline.
