This February half term, Shepton Mallet Prison is inviting families to explore its fascinating history with a fantastic ‘kids go free’ offer! From February 14 to 22, children can enjoy free admission when accompanied by a paying adult, making it easier than ever to plan an affordable and engaging day out.

A spokesperson for the prison said, “It’s the perfect post-Christmas treat for families looking for something fun, low-stress, and great value.” With this promotion, each paying adult may bring up to three children free of charge, saving families £10 per child (terms and conditions apply).

Set in the heart of Somerset, Shepton Mallet Prison has stood for 400 years and provides a compelling backdrop for discovery. Visitors can take self-guided tours at their own pace, capturing ‘CELLfies’ and uncovering stories of crime, punishment, and prison life through interactive audio boxes and informative boards.
