Seven Off-Road Motorcycles Worth Over £20,000 Stolen in Evercreech Burglary

Police are investigating the theft of seven off-road motorcycles valued at over £20,000, stolen from a family home in Evercreech, near Shepton Mallet. The family described themselves as “completely devastated” after the incident, which also resulted in damage to their garage and car.

Avon and Somerset Police reported the theft occurred around midnight on Sunday, 9 November, at a property on Pheasant Close. According to authorities, suspects moved a parked vehicle blocking the garage door before forcing entry to gain access to the motorcycles.

The stolen motorcycles include a 2022 Fantic XXF, 2019 KTM SX 85, 2024 KTM SX E5, 2010 Kawasaki KX 65, 2013 Honda CRF 125, and two unregistered Revi motorcycles (one orange, one red).

Neighbourhood Inspector Max Priestley said the incident was reported shortly after 7 am on the same day. Police have reviewed some CCTV footage showing three men in the vicinity during the time of the theft and are working to identify them. Evidence suggests that the thieves used a vehicle parked at the top of the estate to transport the motorcycles, as tyre tracks consistent with motorcycle tyres were found in nearby grass.

Inspector Priestley added that, while this is the only recorded burglary of this kind on that night in the area, authorities are investigating the possibility of related incidents. The address appeared to have been specifically targeted, possibly because one of the bikes had been previously advertised for sale on social media.

Investigators are urging local residents and businesses to review any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the time surrounding the crime and to come forward with any information regarding the suspects, the vehicle used, or the stolen motorcycles' whereabouts.
