Serious Injuries Reported After Two-Car Collision on A39 in Somerset

A two-car collision on the A39 in West Quantoxhead, Somerset, has resulted in one person being airlifted to hospital with possible serious injuries. Avon and Somerset Police were alerted to the crash shortly before 1pm on Monday, October 13.

The incident initially caused the A39 to be blocked, with the road later closed between Sea Lane and The Avenue to allow emergency services to conduct a thorough investigation.

Emergency responders remain at the scene as accident investigation work continues. Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant footage to come forward.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police stated: “We were called just before 1pm today to a two-vehicle collision on the A39. One individual has been airlifted to hospital with possible serious injuries. The road remains closed in both directions while emergency services work at the scene.
