Sentimental Jewellery Stolen in Cheddar Burglary

A grieving widower in Cheddar is urgently appealing for help following the theft of jewellery that held deep sentimental value. After more than 54 years of marriage, the jewellery belonged to his late wife, making its loss particularly painful.

The burglary occurred at a home on Round Oak Grove on the evening of Thursday, October 30. Avon and Somerset Police are seeking any witnesses or anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around that time. Forensic investigations were conducted the following day to gather evidence.

Police have requested anyone who captured footage nearby, noticed unusual behavior, or seen the stolen jewellery listed for sale online or in pawn shops to come forward. The victim expressed his heartfelt plea: “The jewellery that was taken belonged to my late wife. After so many years together, it means a lot to me, and I just want it back.”
