Avon and Somerset Police have charged a second individual with attempted murder in connection to a shooting at Yeovil’s Lufton Trading Estate on October 1. The incident involved a gun being fired at the industrial site, prompting an immediate police response.
The first man charged, 30-year-old James McGuinness, had already appeared in court facing multiple charges including attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
Now, 33-year-old Junior Renford from Charlton, London, has been charged with attempted murder as well. He appeared at Yeovil Magistrates' Court on October 20, facing additional charges of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable its use, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Renford is scheduled to appear next at Taunton Crown Court on November 17. According to police reports, no injuries resulted from the shooting, which occurred around 12:45 p.m. on October 1.
This development marks a significant step in the investigation as authorities continue to pursue justice in this serious case involving firearm offences.
