Authorities are urgently seeking the driver of a silver Ford Focus in connection to a collision on the A39 Street Road in Glastonbury that left a man seriously injured.
Emergency crews were dispatched following reports of a black Hyundai Kona veering off the road and smashing into a fence and lamppost. The driver, a man in his early 80s, was trapped in the wreckage and was extricated by firefighters before being rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Fortunately, he has since been discharged and continues his recovery at home.
Investigators believe the Ford Focus may have pulled into the path of the Hyundai, contributing to the crash, but the driver left the scene, apparently unaware of the incident.
