A tragic accident near Glastonbury has claimed the life of a scooter rider after a collision involving four vehicles on the A361. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 17, at approximately 2:25 pm between Glastonbury and Pilton.
The crash involved a Lambretta scooter, a Polestar car, a VW Transporter van, and a Range Rover Sport. The scooter rider was rushed to the hospital but sadly succumbed to his injuries the following day. His family has been informed and is receiving support from a specially trained police officer. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported from the crash.
The A361 was closed for several hours to allow emergency services and investigators to conduct their work thoroughly. The road reopened around 7:30 pm on the same day.

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has Dashcam footage that could aid their investigation to come forward. Witnesses are urged to contact the police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 5225262133.
