‘Sassy’ and ‘Lovely Little’ 9-Year-Old Girl Pictured for First Time After Tragic Death

The heartbreaking image of Aria, a nine-year-old girl tragically stabbed to death, has been shared for the first time since the devastating incident. Described by her loved ones as a “lovely little girl” with a spirited and “sassy” personality, Aria’s sudden passing has left her family in deep anguish.

Police responded to an emergency call at Lime Close in Weston-super-Mare at 6:09 pm on Monday, December 15. Shortly after, a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of murder in Worle at 6:19 pm.

Just two weeks before the tragedy, Aria celebrated her ninth birthday with a lively K-pop themed party surrounded by friends. Her uncle, Jordan Hull, expressed the family’s heartache on social media, asking for privacy as they grieve the devastating loss.

On the evening of the incident, Aria had attended an after-school dance class with her friends. The day prior, she was joyfully sharing her Christmas wishes with her best friend. Tamara Taylor, mother of Aria’s closest friend, shared her sorrow, highlighting Aria’s playful spirit and the close bond between the two girls. She described her struggles in explaining the tragedy to her own eight-year-old daughter.

A close friend of Aria’s mother, Victoria, also posted publicly about the family’s grief, noting that the family’s business would remain closed while they cope with their loss.

Emotional tributes continue to appear at the scene, including a touching note thanking Aria for her friendship.

Superintendent Jen Appleford of Avon and Somerset Police acknowledged the shock felt by the Weston-super-Mare community and extended condolences to Aria’s family. She assured that support is being provided to the family and confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway, including a post-mortem examination and formal identification process.

Supt Appleford emphasized the unity of the community in the face of this tragedy and outlined ongoing police efforts to ensure safety and support in the neighborhood. Although there is no indication of increased risk, a heightened police presence will remain as enquiries continue. Authorities encourage anyone with concerns to come forward and assure the public that updates will be shared as the investigation progresses.
