A Ryanair flight en route to Bristol Airport had to make an unexpected landing at Cardiff Airport due to a technical issue onboard. The Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft departed from Dublin Airport at 3:28 pm on Tuesday, August 5, but soon after, a “general emergency” signal was declared.
Despite the alert, the flight crew did not officially declare an emergency. The aircraft landed safely and normally at Cardiff Airport, where passengers disembarked without incident.
Ryanair confirmed that Flight FR504 diverted as a precaution after detecting a minor technical problem. To minimise inconvenience, the airline promptly arranged alternative transportation to Bristol Airport for all passengers.
