This holiday season, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will swap his classic sleigh ride for a breathtaking LED-lit drone performance over Royal Victoria Park in Bath. More than 600 coordinated drones will take to the sky, creating mesmerizing illuminated formations that bring the beloved Christmas tale to life.
Produced by Lumina Drones, this large-scale aerial extravaganza combines stunning visuals, captivating narration, and an original musical score. Audiences can expect to see iconic characters such as Rudolph, Santa Claus, and the Abominable Snow Monster transformed into glowing drone sculptures, lighting up the winter sky.
This event in Bath is the opening show of a four-stop UK tour this winter. Lumina Drones, known for their innovative “drone-theatre” concept, previously delighted crowds with their Space Safari show earlier this year, attracting around 12,000 attendees. The company highlights their environmentally conscious approach, offering a silent and wildlife-friendly alternative to traditional fireworks displays.

Before the main event, visitors can enjoy a festive winter village complete with fairground rides, Santa’s Grotto, family games, face painting, and a tasty array of food and drink stalls, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.
Rudolph’s story has enchanted audiences since it first aired as a US television special in 1964. Notably, it hasn’t been broadcast on UK television since 2005, making this live drone show a fresh way to celebrate the classic tale.
The Bath performance will take place on Saturday, November 22, at Royal Victoria Park. Tickets start at £15.99 plus booking fees and go on sale Friday, August 29. Early-bird access is available through the organiser’s website.
