Robbie Williams to Light Up Bath’s Royal Crescent This Weekend

Robbie Williams is gearing up to bring an electrifying performance to Bath’s iconic Royal Crescent this weekend. As the stage takes shape, food trucks prepare to serve eager fans, and the renowned Royal Crescent Hotel readies itself to welcome another star guest, anticipation is building for what promises to be a spectacular event.

The Royal Crescent has long been a cherished backdrop for memorable concerts. It first gained legendary status in 2003 when The Three Tenors—Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, and Jose Carreras—performed on its splendid lawns under the summer sky. This weekend, Williams joins that distinguished lineage with two sold-out shows on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14.

Concert promoter John Empson of Senbla shared, “We deeply respect the residents of the Royal Crescent and are committed to minimizing any disruption. Stage construction will be gradual and careful, and we’ve implemented a cutting-edge sound system designed to contain the music within the venue. This setting is truly unique; Robbie was eager to perform here because of its iconic charm.”

Throughout Bath and the surrounding areas, locals are gearing up for the event with planned lunches, barbecues, and picnics, set to coincide with the concerts. With a capacity of just 15,000 each night, the venue offers an intimate atmosphere unlike any large stadium show Robbie typically headlines.

However, fans hoping to hear hits like “Rock DJ” or “Let Me Entertain You” echoing across Bath’s hillsides might be surprised. Thanks to the innovative sound system, the music will be audible primarily to the concert-goers, preserving the neighborhood’s tranquility.

Setlist insight comes from Robbie’s recent tour stop in Edinburgh on May 31, hinting at an exciting mix of classics and new favorites:

  • Rocket
  • Let Me Entertain You
  • A medley including All My Life, Song 2, Seven Nation Army, and more
  • Monsoon
  • Old Before I Die
  • Rock DJ
  • Love My Life
  • Strong
  • The Road to Mandalay
  • Supreme
  • Selections like Let Love Be Your Energy, Sexed Up, Candy
  • Relight My Fire
  • Something Beautiful
  • Millennium
  • Come Undone
  • Kids
  • She’s the One

Concert doors open at 4:00 pm, with support act The Lottery Winners going on at 7:00 pm. Robbie takes the stage at 8:30 pm, with the show concluding by 10:20 pm and a curfew at 10:30 pm.

While official tickets have sold out, a limited number of resale tickets remain available through Ticketmaster, priced at £145 for General Admission and £307 for Golden Circle. Other resale platforms like viagogo, VividSeats, and StubHub also offer tickets, albeit at higher prices.

Attendees should note that several road closures will be in effect from early Friday morning. Additionally, Great Western Railway (GWR) urges travelers to plan ahead, as Bath is a popular destination and trains tend to fill quickly during major events. Booking earlier trains may offer a quieter and more affordable journey.

Bath & North East Somerset Council encourages visitors to use the city’s extended Park & Ride services, now operating until 11:30 pm from Monday to Saturday. Councillor Paul Roper advises, “To avoid delays and congestion, please consider walking, cycling, or using public transport. Stay informed on travel updates before setting out.”

With stunning surroundings, a world-famous performer, and a carefully coordinated event, this weekend at the Royal Crescent promises to be a highlight in Bath’s vibrant cultural calendar.
