Nigel Adams, an extra on the hit Disney series Rivals, was arrested on set in front of cast and crew while filming alongside Danny Dyer. The 45-year-old actor was reportedly working on a polo scene for the second series when police arrived to take him into custody. Adams, still in costume at the time, was escorted off the set as colleagues looked on.
Adams appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Friday, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH) against a woman. The alleged assault occurred in a home in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, at around 2 a.m. on May 31. No plea was entered during the hearing, and Adams was granted conditional bail ahead of a Crown Court appearance scheduled for July 7.
The production company behind Rivals, Happy Prince, confirmed police visited the set on June 4 regarding an unrelated matter involving a supporting artist. They emphasized the incident was not connected to the show or its production and stated they cooperated fully with authorities.
