On Sunday, June 22, from 10am to 4:30pm, visitors to Dulverton will have a unique opportunity to explore some of the town’s most beautiful private gardens, usually hidden behind hedges and walls. As part of the ‘Secret Gardens of Dulverton’ event, dozens of gardens across this charming Exmoor town will open their gates for one day only.
Organised by Visit Dulverton and run entirely by volunteers, the event is a community fundraiser with a portion of the proceeds donated to the Moorland Food Bank. Last year’s trail was a great success, raising £1,250 to support local families in need.
Attendees will be given a detailed map marking all participating gardens with their admission ticket. Tickets purchased in advance cost £5 and can be bought at Dulverton Post Office and The Tantivy, the town’s popular shop and café. Children under 16 enter free. On the day, tickets will be available at Dulverton Town Hall for £7.

Dulverton Town Hall will also serve as a hub for visitors, offering a refreshment area with tea, coffee, beer, wine, cakes, filled baguettes, and ploughman’s lunches. Meanwhile, local shops and eateries will remain open throughout the event, adding to the day’s community spirit.
Seddons Estate Agents of Bampton has kindly sponsored the event, helping to make this special day possible.
