A man in his 40s was violently attacked and racially abused by three masked individuals riding mopeds in Swindon, Wiltshire. The incident occurred between 11:25 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, leaving the victim with knife wounds, though his injuries are not considered serious.
According to reports, the victim was approached by the three riders who demanded his belongings. He fled to the front of his home on May Close, where the assailants continued to follow him, verbally abusing him with racial slurs before assaulting him with a knife.
Despite the attack, the suspects fled without stealing anything. The attackers are described as white males, dressed entirely in black and wearing balaclavas. Police believe multiple witnesses saw the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Wiltshire Police’s Swindon Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is leading the investigation. Following the assault, a cordon was established to facilitate the inquiry but has since been lifted. Detective Sergeant Craig Rathbone emphasized the seriousness of the case, stating, “There is no place for this kind of violence in Swindon. We are determined to bring those responsible to justice.”
