Trinity Church School in Radstock has been praised as a nurturing environment where pupils truly flourish, following an exceptionally positive inspection. The recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) report highlighted the school’s welcoming atmosphere, inclusive ethos, and deeply rooted Christian identity.
Central to the school’s success is its vision: “Learning, growing, believing together,” inspired by 1 Thessalonians 5:11. This vision permeates all areas of the school’s life, creating a strong foundation for spiritual and personal development.
Executive Headteacher Michelle Parsons expressed pride in the inspection outcome, stating, “This report reflects the dedication, warmth, and inclusivity that define Trinity Church School. It recognises our commitment to celebrating every child’s unique potential and supporting their growth in all areas.”

The SIAMS report identified several key strengths, including the pupils’ confidence, kindness, and a robust sense of social justice. Students actively engage in charitable work and campaigns promoting inclusivity and respect.
Clair Hurley, SENDCo and SIAMS lead, remarked, “This report beautifully confirms the strength of our Christian foundation and the profound impact of our vision throughout the school. The inspector’s acknowledgement of our close relationships and inclusive atmosphere shows why Trinity feels like one big family.”
While the inspection suggested expanding opportunities for spiritual reflection within the broader curriculum, school leaders welcome this as a chance to enhance their already strong spiritual programme.
A standout feature noted in the report is the school’s sculpture titled Acceptance, symbolising friendship, compassion, and unity. Trinity’s pupils take an active role in school life, leading worship and advocating for important causes such as anti-racism and mental health awareness.
Reflecting the school’s atmosphere, one pupil shared, “We feel encouraged anywhere and everywhere at Trinity. We know we are part of something special.”
