Primark Click and Collect Service Now Available in Somerset Store

Budget fashion giant Primark has rolled out its Click and Collect service to a store in Somerset, marking an extension of the service to 158 of its 187 locations in Britain. In addition to the Somerset store, the service is now available at new Devon locations, including Barnstaple, Exeter, Plymouth, and Torquay, according to a report by DevonLive.

Customers in these areas can now conveniently shop for Primark’s range of products, from womenswear and menswear to kidswear and homeware, on the retailer’s website. They can then place their orders through Click and Collect and pick up their items at their own convenience. This move also provides access to new and expanded ranges that may not be available in their local stores.

Primark’s adaptive clothing range, which was launched earlier this year, is also part of the offering. The range features over 40 stylish wardrobe staples for men and women, designed in collaboration with adaptive designer and disability campaigner, Victoria Jenkins, to cater to the needs of those living with a disability.

Kari Rodgers, UK Retail Director at Primark, expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “We’re delighted to reveal the next wave of stores to offer Click & Collect, giving more customers the chance to shop online from the great ranges they know and love before collecting in store. With summer in sight, it’s just one way we’re making it even easier for everyone in Devon to get their summer wardrobe essentials.”

In a release, the company highlighted the ongoing expansion of Click and Collect as part of its investments in improving the shopping experience for its customers. According to independent research by Public First, Primark’s contributions to the UK economy amount to £2.6 billion, supporting 54,000 jobs across the country. The retailer is also a significant driver of footfall to high streets, with 2.3 million people citing Primark as the main reason for visiting their local high street each week.

Additionally, spending at Primark stores generates substantial economic activity, supporting around £1 billion in spending in other stores and £500 million in restaurants annually, according to the release.
