Preston Primary School Excels with Outstanding Ofsted Report

Preston CofE Primary School in Yeovil has achieved the remarkable feat of being rated outstanding in all areas by Ofsted following its November inspection. The school, which embraces the motto “Work together, learn together, grow together,” has 418 pupils and is located in Abbey Manor Park.

According to the inspectors, the school’s commitment to its motto is fully realized as staff exhibit high ambition for the pupils' potential, and the pupils live up to this expectation. The school environment is described as purposeful, with pupils being focused, respectful, and impeccably behaved. Attendance is high, and pupils demonstrate a strong sense of pride in their school.

Ofsted also commended the school for its balanced focus on developing pupils' social and emotional skills, with staff being particularly attuned to their well-being. The diverse and engaging curriculum includes visits to local points of interest, such as a water treatment plant, to enrich the learning experience.
