Porsche Cayenne Used in Ram-Raid at Asda Petrol Station in Weston-super-Mare

In the early hours of Friday, May 23, a luxury Porsche Cayenne was used to smash through the entrance of an Asda Express petrol station shop on the A371 in Weston-super-Mare. A group of masked raiders, all dressed in black balaclavas and clothing, forced their way into the building before fleeing the scene.

Avon and Somerset Police were alerted at approximately 3:44am. Upon arrival, officers found extensive damage to the shopfront, with the Porsche Cayenne and a grey Ford S-Max left abandoned and damaged at the scene. The perpetrators are believed to have escaped in a blue Audi Q5.

A specialist police dog unit conducted searches in the surrounding area, but the suspects were not located. The investigation remains ongoing with CCTV footage being reviewed to identify those involved. Police have established a cordon around the petrol station to allow crime scene investigators to carry out a thorough examination.

A police spokesperson stated: “Officers responded quickly to reports of a group attempting to force entry at 3.44am. Despite an immediate search, the suspects managed to flee in a blue Audi Q5. Our investigations continue to gather evidence and identify the offenders.”
