Popular Weston-super-Mare Family Attraction Little Town Adventures to Close Permanently

Little Town Adventures, a cherished seaside attraction on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront, has announced it will close permanently next month, much to the dismay of local families. Since opening in May 2024, the miniature town has delighted children with its lifelike play settings, including a fire station, police station, and quaint miniature shops, inspiring imaginative play.

The company confirmed on October 25 that the final day of operation will be November 3. A heartfelt message on their Facebook page expressed gratitude to visitors, recounting how the concept was originally developed in 2020 before the pandemic, making its realisation a rewarding experience.

Despite efforts to find a new operator, sustained trading proved challenging, especially amid the current economic climate and additional difficulties caused by parking restrictions in Weston-super-Mare. These factors have made it tough for role-play venues to thrive.

Visitors responded with sadness and appreciation. One parent said, “Absolutely gutted, you have such an amazing facility! We were blown away on our first visit.” Another shared, “My kids love Little Town, and we come every weekend—really sad to see it go.”

Following its closure, the venue will be transformed into a Head Office and Training Centre featuring Montessori-inspired learning hubs for staff development. Some of the play sets will be moved to Ocean Adventurers in Cheddar and Space Adventurers in Taunton, both of which will continue to operate normally.

Little Town Adventures will remain open as usual throughout the half-term holiday. Those with upcoming bookings are encouraged to contact the team by email at [email protected].

The management closed their statement by thanking all visitors and supporters: “While this isn’t the ending we hoped for, we’ll always cherish what Little Town meant to so many children. We urge everyone to continue supporting local independent businesses, as many role-play and soft-play venues across the UK face similar challenges.”
