Channel 5’s beloved series “Inside Longleat” is returning for an eagerly awaited second season, promising viewers an intimate look at one of Britain’s most historic and expansive estates. Following the success of its first run earlier this year, the eight-part series produced by Bright Branch Media will once again explore the everyday magic behind maintaining the famous Longleat estate in Wiltshire.
The new series offers a fascinating journey through the estate across all four seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—providing fresh insights into its operations and the people who bring it to life. Viewers will follow Lord and Lady Bath along with their dedicated team, showcasing the estate’s many facets, from the grand Elizabethan House and safari park keepers to foresters, beekeepers, balloonists, and even the organizers of the summer carnival.
Beyond the estate’s core attractions, the show also ventures to the stunning Shearwater Lake and restaurant, introduces the farming tenants of nearby Horningsham village, and travels as far as the caretakers of the iconic Cheddar Gorge caves, all part of Longleat’s extensive holdings.

Lucy Willis, Channel 5’s Commissioning Editor for Unscripted, shared her enthusiasm: “I have fond childhood memories of driving past the Longleat monkeys, and it’s a real privilege that Lord and Lady Bath have welcomed viewers back to discover all this extraordinary estate offers—from its impressive conservation efforts to the stately home and world-renowned safari park.”
Lord Bath expressed his excitement for the return of the series: “Emma and I are thrilled the programme has been recommissioned. This season will reveal even more about the lives of those who make Longleat such a special place, and how it is woven into the fabric of the local community.”
The series is executive produced by Jo Pearce, with Ian Durham as series producer and Dominick French as director, all from Bright Branch Media. Jo Pearce added, “We’re delighted to return to Longleat to highlight the passionate and warm-hearted people who make this estate truly unique. It’s an hour of heartfelt escapism for viewers.”
