Police Vehicles Damaged Outside Bath Station and Taken Off Road

A man has been arrested following criminal damage to four police vehicles parked outside Lewis House, a police station in Bath. The incident occurred around 8:15 pm on Sunday, June 22, on Manvers Street. Avon and Somerset Police reported that the wing mirrors of three police cars and one van were damaged, forcing the vehicles to be taken off the road for repairs.

Chief Inspector Scott Hill, area commander for Bath and North East Somerset, stated that CCTV footage is under review, and officers are seeking any dashcam videos or witness statements related to the incident. “The damage is frustrating and costly, taking vital resources away from public service,” he said.

Despite the vandalism, Chief Inspector Hill assured the community that measures have been put in place to ensure minimal disruption. Police operations, including urgent response and neighborhood policing, will continue without major impact.
