Police Seize Cash, Drugs, and Weapons in Targeted Operation

Avon and Somerset Police have intensified their crackdown on drug-related crime, seizing cash, drugs, weapons, and other items during recent targeted raids in the Bath and North East Somerset area. Acting on information provided by concerned residents, neighborhood officers, supported by tactical units, executed search warrants in Midsomer Norton on November 19.

Neighborhood Inspector Stuart King KPM emphasized the ongoing commitment of police teams to disrupt drug supply networks. “This operation is part of a continued series of drug warrants that have successfully removed substantial amounts of illegal substances from our streets,” he said. The police are determined to hold accountable those who cause harm and distress in their communities.

Inspector King issued a clear message to offenders: “Now is the time to reflect and cease involvement in such activities. We offer support to those willing to change, but for those who persist, we will take firm action.” Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to aid law enforcement efforts.

During the searches, authorities confiscated cash, suspected controlled drugs, mobile phones, a knife, and an air-powered firearm, all of which are set to be destroyed. An investigation is underway, with a suspect identified and scheduled for questioning on charges related to drug possession and supply.

Superintendent Ronald Lungu highlighted the importance of a focused, local approach. “Our targeted actions demonstrate our dedication to keeping communities safe by tackling those involved in organized crime,” he stated. Residents should expect increased police presence aimed at protecting the area from illicit activities.

The police continue to urge the public to report any suspected drug dealing or misuse in their neighborhoods. Confidential channels are available for providing information, ensuring anonymity and protection to those who come forward.
