A woman was violently assaulted in Taunton late Tuesday evening, leaving her with a split lip and bruises. The incident occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on September 23, outside Chaucer Court on East Reach.
The victim has since been recovering at home, but police are actively investigating the assault. Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they believe may have crucial information regarding the case.
The woman in the image is described as white, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, of medium build, with long pink hair styled in a bun. She was last seen wearing a grey jumper, dark leggings, and carrying a purple bag.
