Police Seek Silver Ford Focus Driver After Serious Crash in Glastonbury

Police are urgently appealing for the driver of a silver Ford Focus to come forward following a serious road traffic collision in Glastonbury. The incident occurred on the A39 Street Road at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, 26 April.

Emergency responders were called to the scene where a black Hyundai Kona had veered off the road, crashing into a fence and a lamppost. The driver, a man in his early 80s, was trapped in the wreckage and was quickly rescued by the fire service. He was then rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Thankfully, he has since been discharged and continues to recover at home. Avon and Somerset Police believe the Ford Focus driver may have inadvertently pulled into the path of the Hyundai and left the scene without realizing the extent of the crash.
