Police are actively investigating a stabbing that occurred in Newtown Park, Bristol, leaving a man critically injured. The incident took place late Thursday night, prompting officers to establish a police cordon at the scene on Friday.
At approximately 11:30 p.m., emergency services were alerted to Newtown Park, near Hassell Drive in the St Philips area. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his twenties suffering from multiple knife wounds. The victim reported that he was assaulted by three males who then fled the area on bicycles.
Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that the man’s injuries are potentially life-changing. Investigations are ongoing, with officers maintaining a presence at the park to gather evidence and ensure public safety.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We are at the scene of a serious assault in Bristol. The victim, a man in his twenties, sustained knife wounds and identified three suspects who escaped on bikes. The investigation is in its early stages, and we urge anyone with information or video footage to contact us.”
