Avon and Somerset Police are urgently seeking to identify a man who helped a teenage girl after she was sexually assaulted in Chard. The incident occurred on March 22 when the victim, a girl in her mid-teens, was approached by an offender while walking along a footpath near Zembard Lane.
A man in his 50s was arrested on the same day but has since been released on conditional bail as the investigation continues. Following the attack, the victim was assisted by a good Samaritan who ensured her safety and provided crucial support.
The police have released an image of this man, describing him as having short white hair and wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans, and brown boots at the time.
