Peter Andre recently offered a candid glimpse into the realities of raising his five children, whose ages range from two to 20, during a lively appearance on Loose Women.
The 53-year-old singer and television personality is father to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, from his previous marriage to Katie Price. He also shares three younger children—Amelia, 12, Theodore, nine, and two-year-old Arabella—with his current wife, Emily.
During Monday’s episode, Peter spoke with hosts Kaye Adams, Jane Moore, Katie Piper, and Myleene Klass about the joys and challenges of his busy household. Jane noted Peter’s longstanding approach to parenting, highlighting how he adopted firm boundaries similar to those set by his own parents. “Junior and Princess are polite and lovely,” Jane commented.

When asked if he has relaxed his standards with his youngest children, Jane playfully questioned if Peter has just given up and adopted a more laid-back approach with the toddler. Peter joked, “Yeah, Junior is fuming as well. Do you get that?” prompting laughter from the panel.
Myleene related to the struggles of balancing discipline, saying, “They are tough on me, and they get away with murder,” a sentiment many parents can understand. Peter elaborated on his experience, explaining, “My parents were very strict—they were Jehovah’s Witnesses and Greek. I passed on a lot of those rules to my kids.”
However, he admits that as his children grew older, especially after age 10, he began to question some of those traditional methods. “I don’t agree with half of this stuff anymore—not that my parents didn’t do it out of love, but it’s quite old-fashioned,” Peter said. He confessed, “Now I’m so chilled, it actually annoys Emily sometimes. The one thing I am strict on is manners.”
Later in the show, Peter emphasized the value he places on hard work and dedication for both Junior and Princess, regardless of their high-profile backgrounds. “I tell them, ‘Do what you want, but work hard at it. Don’t expect things to be handed to you,’” he said.
Princess recently starred in her own ITV reality series, The Princess Diaries, which follows her journey as an influencer navigating career and public life. Junior is building his own path as a social media star, actor, and musician. Peter’s pride in their ambitions was evident as he shared how he encourages them to pursue their passions with determination.
