Peter Andre has voiced his admiration for his son Junior after the 20-year-old decided to step back from the spotlight and embrace a quieter period in his life. Junior recently shared a candid statement on social media, explaining his choice to move through life in a more low-key manner.
The 52-year-old singer, known for hits like “Mysterious Girl,” has two children with his former wife Katie Price: son Junior and daughter Princess, now 18. The family has recently been embroiled in a public dispute, with Peter criticizing Katie over the children’s living arrangements.
Katie Price had called for peace talks after accusing Peter and his management team, The CAN Group, of barring her from participating in Princess’s documentary, The Princess Diaries. Peter responded sharply, saying, “I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family,” aiming to set the record straight.

Princess, when asked about her parents' turbulent relationship, said on Snapchat, “To be honest it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don’t even have any memory of them being together.”
Meanwhile, Junior has remained mostly silent about the family tension. However, last week he posted on Instagram about his decision to adopt a “quiet season” in his life. He wrote: “Sometimes the most quiet seasons are the most powerful ones. I’ve been moving in silence, learning, growing, making moves you haven’t seen yet. I think about you all more than you know….and when the time’s right, you’ll understand why I’ve been so lowkey. My time is coming and when it does, we’re all going up together.”
In an exclusive column for new magazine, Peter praised his son’s maturity and focus. He wrote, “For those who saw Junior’s post on his socials, he said, ‘the quiet seasons are the most powerful ones,’ and I know he means it. After music success, he stepped back — to be a real teenager, really. Plus, he moved in with his girlfriend and has just been enjoying life. Knowing J, he’ll show the world what he’s got. He’s a talented songwriter.”
Peter added, “As his dad, of course, I’ll always offer work advice, but he does his own thing and I love that. He will do things in his own time.”
This statement comes following Peter’s candid response to his ex-wife regarding years of public disputes. He stated: “For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.”
Peter clarified the children’s living arrangements, revealing that both Junior and Princess have been under his care since 2018 based on a legally binding court order from 2019. He emphasized previous court rulings where Katie was ordered to pay damages over false claims made against him.
Katie’s spokesperson told the Mirror that she is now “in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation,” preferring to leave matters to her lawyers and rejecting any further public conflict.
