Peter Andre has revealed that the thought of his daughter Princess reaching certain milestones once made him “feel terrible.” As a father of five, the “Mysterious Girl” singer understands the challenges and joys that come with raising children.
Peter shares his eldest two children, Junior and Princess, with his former partner Katie Price, while his younger three children—Theo, Amelia, and Arabella—are with his wife Dr. Emily MacDonagh, whom he married in 2015. He also maintains a caring relationship with Katie’s eldest son, Harvey, whom he was previously a stepfather to.
With years of experience, Peter has embraced new parenting perspectives. He admits he initially adopted his own parents’ “religious and very strict” methods when raising Junior and Princess. However, over time, his approach evolved, especially concerning Princess’s relationships.

When asked about the changes in his parenting style, Peter told Woman magazine, “Yeah, definitely. My parents were religious and very strict, so when Junior and Princess were born, I kind of repeated how they were. But time and my views changed—especially on things like Princess having a boyfriend. The thought of it made me feel terrible at first. You soften as you get older and you have more children. Who knows what I’ll be like by the time Belle is a teenager!”
Earlier this year, Peter shared an emotional moment from his wedding. In July 2015, Princess and Junior played special roles in the ceremony—Princess as flower girl and Junior as pageboy. Speaking about the day, Peter recalled feeling overwhelmed with emotion seeing his children walking down the aisle.
He described the setting: “When the day came, and people started arriving at the beautiful Orangery where the ceremony was to take place, we had a wonderful classical quartet playing while people found their seats.” The music began with Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria.’ Joining Junior as pageboys were Emily’s brother, Joe, and Peter’s nephew, Savandy, followed by the flower girls, Princess and Amelia.
Peter continued, “I was pretty emotional seeing my kids walking down that aisle, but George was there with a reassuring squeeze of my shoulder as I tried to hold back the tears.”
He also praised his wife, describing her as “gorgeous” with “shimmering” eyes, calling her the “most beautiful” bride he had ever seen. He admitted, “I couldn’t help welling up.”
Reflecting on his life as a single father, Peter candidly said, “As a single dad, it was crucial to me that, when they were with me, as they are half the time, they didn’t see me coming home with a string of different girlfriends. I kept that part of my life separate, until Emily came along.”
