Peter Andre has praised Alison Hammond’s remarkable transformation, shedding 13 stone through determination and lifestyle changes rather than weight loss injections. The beloved This Morning presenter, who once weighed 28 stone, began her weight loss journey after being diagnosed pre-diabetic and following the heartbreaking loss of her mother Maria, who passed away from complications related to type 2 diabetes in 2020.
In a recent OK! magazine column, Peter expressed admiration for Alison’s hard work. He said, “Alison Hammond looks incredible. She has openly shared that she didn’t use weight-loss injections, which is her personal choice. We shouldn’t pressure anyone to disclose their methods. What matters is how she feels, and she clearly feels fantastic.”
Peter continued, “It’s not anyone else’s business how someone achieves their goals. Alison is a dear friend who has put in the effort and done it the hard way, which I respect greatly. But I would never judge anyone who opts for injections — that’s their decision."

Peter himself faced public speculation about his health in 2019 after posting a video that sparked concerns for his wellbeing. He quickly reassured followers, explaining that his slimmer appearance was due to his running routine and that he was feeling “better than ever,” according to the Mirror.
Alison credits her success to adopting a balanced approach rather than dieting strictly. She works out regularly with a personal trainer and incorporates weights, Pilates, and yoga into her routines. Speaking to Heat magazine, she said, “I feel amazing and happy within myself. I train when I can, but I listen to my body — on busy days, I’ll opt for a walk instead.”
Her diet has evolved from high-fat and sugary foods to a more balanced intake, spurred by her family history and health scare. “When I found out I was pre-diabetic, I thought, ‘I have to be an adult about this.’ The sweets and fatty foods had to go,” Alison told Women’s Health magazine.
Thanks to these changes, Alison is no longer pre-diabetic and now enjoys a little indulgence here and there without worry. “I love my new body shape and although I still have areas I’m conscious of, like my arms and tummy, it’s wonderful to wear clothes I never could before,” she shared. “Honestly, I feel like a bombshell.”
Though once wary of weight loss drugs due to “scare stories,” Alison is open-minded about others’ choices. “I wouldn’t look down on anyone who used them,” she said.
Off camera, Alison is happily dating masseur David Putman, 27, which has fueled speculation about wedding plans. When asked, Alison playfully replied, “I’d never say no. I might marry myself!”
