Peter Andre, the singer known for hits like “Mysterious Girl,” has shared candid reflections on fatherhood, particularly the challenges and evolving emotions that come with raising his children. As a father of five, Andre has navigated the complexities of parenting with a growing sense of empathy and flexibility.
Peter shares his eldest children, Junior and Princess Andre, with his former partner Katie Price. He also has three younger children—Theo, Amelia, and Arabella—with his wife, Dr. Emily MacDonagh, whom he married in 2015. Additionally, Peter maintains a close bond with Katie Price’s eldest son, Harvey, for whom he was once a stepfather.
Reflecting on his parenting journey, Andre admitted he initially adopted the strict, religious approach of his own parents. “When Junior and Princess were born, I kind of repeated how they were,” he told Woman magazine. However, his views have since evolved, especially when it comes to his daughter Princess and her romantic relationships. “The thought of it made me feel terrible at first. You soften as you get older and you have more children. Who knows what I’ll be like by the time Belle is a teenager!”

Earlier this year, Peter opened up about an emotional moment at his wedding to Emily. Watching Princess and Junior participate as flower girl and pageboy during the ceremony moved him deeply. He described the setting at the Orangery, enriched by classical music, as a stunning backdrop filled with touching family moments. “I was pretty emotional seeing my kids walking down that aisle,” he recalled, adding how his friend George offered comfort as he tried to hold back tears.
Peter also praised his wife, calling her “the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen,” noting how her eyes were “shimmering” throughout the day. His emotional response highlighted the importance of family and the support system they share.
In addition to sharing heartwarming family stories, Peter gave insight into his life as a single father before meeting Emily. “As a single dad, it was crucial to me that, when they were with me—they are half the time—they didn’t see me coming home with a string of different girlfriends. I kept that part of my life separate, until Emily came along.”
Peter Andre’s journey illustrates how parenting can inspire personal growth, patience, and a softer, more understanding approach with each new chapter.
