Peter Andre has made a powerful and unambiguous statement in response to his former wife Katie Price’s recent criticisms. The singer and TV personality, 52, took to Instagram to address the escalating conflict between the ex-couple, centered largely around their daughter Princess Andre’s reality television show.
Katie Price, 47, had publicly criticized those managing Princess’s debut TV programme, expressing frustration over her limited involvement while Princess appears alongside her father. She also called on Peter to meet and resolve their ongoing disputes.
In a passionately worded Instagram post, Peter revealed that after sixteen years of silence, he could no longer stay quiet. “For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today,” he stated.

Peter clarified arrangements around their children: “The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.”
He also recalled past legal battles: “In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.”
Peter added that further unaddressed accusations will be tackled in the coming months.
Responding, a spokesperson for Katie Price told the Express: “Katie is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, which was in the past and she doesn’t feel the need to bring it up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyer’s hands. Katie will no longer be gaslight and bullied as she once was…”
Peter and Katie, who divorced in 2009, are parents to two children: son Junior and daughter Princess. The ex-spouses have had no contact since their separation.
Recently, Katie expressed anger regarding Peter’s management overseeing Princess’s career, saying she felt excluded and “very, very upset.” She claimed she was barred from Princess’s 18th birthday party because of filming commitments and that the management team representing both Peter and Princess viewed her negatively.
During a podcast, Katie detailed feeling left out and expressed hope for a future dialogue, suggesting: “I feel like I’ve missed out on so much and it’s so not fair to bring Princess as piggy in the middle so I think it’s about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it. Life would be such more at peace.”
Princess herself has spoken openly about the difficulties of her upbringing and the impact of her parents' turbulent relationship, revealing she still sees a counsellor and wishes for a happier childhood.
Katie emphasized her desire to be involved in her children’s lives, regardless of public exposure: “All what I want to do is just whatever my daughter does – and it’s the same with Junior – I don’t care if I’m in the background, but I wanna watch her photoshoots, I wanna watch her do her signings… I’m proud of her and I just wanna be there with her.”
The ongoing tensions highlight the complex dynamics of co-parenting and public scrutiny faced by the family.
