Peter Andre Breaks Silence: Responds to Katie Price’s Claims Amid Co-Parenting Struggles

Peter Andre has finally addressed the ongoing tensions surrounding co-parenting with his ex-wife, Katie Price, after years of silence. The singer, 52, known for hits like “Mysterious Girl,” issued a powerful statement last week amid increasing public accusations from Katie related to their children, Princess, 18, and Junior, 20.

For 16 years since their acrimonious divorce in 2009, Peter has refrained from commenting publicly, prioritizing respect and stability for their children. However, he revealed in a social media post: “For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.”

A close source confirmed that Peter felt forced to respond after enduring a prolonged period of distress, particularly with his mother’s ill health adding to the family’s strain. “He’s been pushed to the brink and had enough of Katie’s falsehoods. Despite his dignified silence, the ongoing stress left him no choice but to speak out. His priority is to stop this conflict for the sake of Princess and Junior,” the source explained.

The dispute escalated following Katie’s recent comments on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, where she clarified the living arrangements of their children. She explained that Princess primarily lives with her but has been staying with Peter for the past two months due to filming commitments.

Peter’s prompt response, supported publicly by his wife Emily MacDonagh, clarified that since 2018 their children have been under his care “for their safety.” He emphasized, “For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.”

Peter also revealed that Katie had made false claims on two separate occasions—in 2011 and 2015—resulting in court orders for her to pay damages and issue formal apologies. He hinted that this statement marks only the beginning of addressing her “baseless accusations” in the months ahead.

Katie’s representatives responded, stating that she remains “at peace with the situation” and prefers to handle matters legally rather than engage in public disputes. Her team added, “Katie will no longer be gaslighted and bullied as she once was.”

The root of the recent friction traces back to Princess’s new ITV2 reality show, The Princess Diaries. Katie accused Peter’s management team, who also represent Princess, of barring her from participating in the show and attending Princess’s public appearances. She expressed feelings of exclusion, saying, “They won’t allow Princess to do photoshoots with me, and they won’t allow me to go to any events with Princess because they think I am trash.”

Peter’s management, The CAN Group, denied these claims, stating, “We would never stop any of our clients from seeing their family. It’s not something we would get involved with.” An insider noted Peter’s sole intention was to support Princess and ensure her show focused on her success.

Katie has voiced concern that the ongoing feud negatively affects their children, particularly Princess. “I just want to be there with her because I feel like I’ve missed out on so much,” she said. “It’s so unfair to make Princess the piggy in the middle.”

Despite Katie’s call for a sit-down discussion, sources reveal that previous attempts by Peter to reconcile have been unsuccessful. “He’s tried repeatedly to communicate, but Katie hasn’t shown interest in resolving the issues.”

Peter’s representative confirmed that Peter will not make any further comments beyond his statement at this time.
