Under the charismatic leadership of Pete, an Honorary Citizen of New Orleans, this band has been spreading joy through their music since 1978. They’ve travelled far and wide, mesmerising audiences in countless theatres and festivals across the UK and beyond. With a rich legacy that includes numerous TV and radio appearances from the 1980s and 90s, they have proudly released over 100 albums, and an exciting new album is on the way later this year!
Prepare to be enchanted by their lively repertoire of happy jazz that will have you tapping your feet and swaying along! They’ll deliver a show filled with joyful jazz and pay homage to legends like Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Sidney Bechet and Duke Ellington, and British legends like the late Acker Bilk, Kenny Ball, Chris Barber, and Humphrey Lyttleton.
Featuring a stellar cast of musicians - Chris Hodgkins on trumpet, Roger Marks on trombone, Trevor Whiting on clarinet and saxophones, James Clemas on keyboard, Jim Newton on drums, Pete Robinson on guitar and banjo, and Dave Hanratty on bass, the band is led by Pete, playing his clarinet and saxophones, each performer bringing their unique flair to create an unforgettable atmosphere.
