A person tragically died following a medical emergency at The Bell Inn, a pub located on Preston Road in Yeovil, on Sunday morning, 16 August.
Emergency services, including paramedics from the South Western Ambulance Service and officers from Avon and Somerset Police, were called to the scene at approximately 11:30am. The pub was closed to customers while responders were attending to the situation.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson confirmed that despite the swift response, the individual was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the death are being treated as non-suspicious, and the coroner has been notified. The deceased’s family have been informed, with police extending their condolences during this difficult time.
