Peasedown St John is set to receive a much-anticipated boost in public transport services with the upcoming launch of a permanent bus route. Independent Councillors Karen Walker and Gavin Heathcote have been instrumental in advocating for the village, securing a solution to the lack of bus services in Orchard Way, benefiting over 1,000 homes.
The eagerly awaited 522 bus service will commence operations from 6th April, offering an hourly service from Monday to Saturday. Extending its route to include Orchard Way, the bus will not only connect local residents but also provide access to key destinations such as Bath Business Park and Sulis Hospital, benefiting hundreds of employees working in the area.
The arrival of the new service complements the existing regular services of the 171, 172, 173, and 174 buses, ensuring convenient access to the main shopping district. Updated bus schedules will be available at all bus stops in Peasedown St John, with additional information accessible online.
